Joy Davis, of Lambertville, MI, passed away on Sat, May 2, 2015 at Toledo Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1937 to Edith Atheal and Fletcher Harkness in Fayette, AL. On Feb 27, 1954, she married the love of her life, (Ellis) Richard Davis, and together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Joy was a loving wife, a dedicated mother and a friend to anyone that knew her. Her love will be irreplaceable.
Over the years, Joy worked at Adrian College, Adrian Floral, and GM Fisher Body plant in Tecumseh, MI. She enjoyed traveling, going to garage sales, and listening to country music. But, family and friends were her true passion and delight.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Richard; brothers, Roger (Norma), John (Jan), and Terry (Marti); children, Cathy Keller (David Sadowski), Al (Heather) Davis, and Lisa (Ken) Krider; 6 grandchildren, and 9 (soon to be 10) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Janette, and Maelene.
In keeping with Joy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of her life will be held this summer.
